Masterclass session - No more!

Due to an untenable issue with the ACT Goverment, I am no longer able to book the Stromlo Forest Park criterium circuit for exclusive use at the necessary times and as a result I am no longer able to offer the Masterclass skills sessions.

This is a very disappointing outcome as last season's session were well attended and planning was well underway to conduct more sessions later this year, including more of the extremely popular Criterium Masterclass sessions.

The issues regarding booking stem from changes to the booking policies for the facility, with a new hierarchy for bookings (organisation type and event bases) plus the desire for the government to make the criterium track available for public use over a broader time, especially on the weekends, rather than having it available for local cyclists to use for skills sessions and training - other than in small groups with unrestricted access.  Having seen how this works (riders going in all different directions) it means I am unable to ensure the safety of riders attending skills sessions - especially when there is a large group (25 riders) on the track along with other users.   I have tried to work through these issues with the park managers and the Ministers officer (including trying to restrict session times to mornings), but to no avail.

My sincerest apologies to all riders who were looking forward to these sessions and also my thanks to all riders who attended sessions last year and who made them very successful.

UPDATE 22 February 2015: The Masterclass Session information has now been de-linked from the navigational bar. The old pages still exist but as these sessions are no longer running - or likely to run in the foreseeable future, the navigation has been removed.
